Seattle, WA
Project: Urban Archive
Location: Seattle, WA
Project Year: Spring 2013

Known as rainy city, Seattle is the home of Microsoft Company owned by Bill Gates. Computer is one of the most important things for human at this time, which is the reason I chose computer as my archive.

Brain Library uses only half of the original building; it is two floors with approximately 5000 SF. The building have a hang-in structural sclupture glass with a cone shape in the corner side of the building soaring from the first-half floor to the roof. The glass structural sculpture represents the brain of the building that also has function for collecting rain and natural light.

The rain water collected in the rain pool in the atrium on the first floor. This building allow people to enjoy nature inside the building to makes them feel relax while reading.
