SkyCabin aims to offer lofted cabin living within the city. It is linking urban lifestyle with a serenity of nature. The apartments provide a captivating view over the city of berlin. As a result of the analysis of solar studies and energy consumption, we developed an ideal design for the conditions we have on the site. One example is the interior lighting we have. A good daylight factor but still a reduction of the amount of direct sunlight in summer. With each apartment as duplex, a division of private and public spaces is given. The tenants have their private living and working space in the first floor, while there exists a big open space in the ground floor including kitchen and living room. By topping up the staircases and adding elevators, we improve accessibility for the tenants.
